Our Mission & Vision
Our Mission:
To raise the standard of what dogs eat by crafting small-batch treats with real, non-GMO ingredients — made with love and transparency in the Bay Area.
Our Vision:
A world where every pup is treated like family, and every treat is clean, honest, and made to nourish.

What’s in the bag? Only the best.
Heirloom / Organic ingredients are nutrient-dense, naturally resilient varieties grown without modern hybridization — and they matter. Unlike conventional crops, they retain higher levels of essential vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that support your dog’s joints, digestion, and immune system. At Whisker & Tail Co., we use only clean, organic, non-GMO heirloom produce and responsibly sourced proteins to give dogs the real nourishment they need — without fillers, preservatives, or over-processed byproducts. Because quality ingredients build long-term health.

Dog treats that go beyond the bag.
We're Whisker & Tail Co., a San Francisco–based brand making small-batch, NON GMO dog treats with clean ingredients and no nonsense. Every bite supports your pup’s wellness, from joint care to gut health — and every bag is made with purpose.

Why heirloom ingredients — and why do they matter for your dog?
Heirloom crops are ancient, non-hybridized varieties grown without modern genetic changes. Unlike standard organic produce, heirloom vegetables retain their original nutrient profiles — richer in antioxidants, minerals, and bioavailable compounds dogs can actually absorb.
While organic avoids pesticides, heirloom goes deeper: it protects genetic diversity, soil integrity, and flavor. It’s not just clean — it’s ancestral nutrition, the way food used to be.
At Whisker & Tail Co., we believe your dog deserves more than “better than average” — they deserve the best of what nature made first.

Questions? We’ve Got Answers
1. Where are your treats made?
All of our treats are handcrafted in small batches in San Francisco, CA. We use low-temp dehydration and freeze-drying techniques to preserve nutrients, crunch, and flavor — without any synthetic processing.
2. What ingredients do you use?
Each product contains just one ingredient: responsibly sourced meats, wild-caught fish, or heirloom vegetables. That means no fillers, no preservatives, no additives — ever.
3. Are your treats organic?
While many of our ingredients are grown or raised using organic practices, we don’t claim “certified organic” unless it's verified. We prioritize non-GMO, free-range, and pasture-raised sources whenever possible.
4. How should I store them?
Our treats come in resealable kraft pouches. Keep them in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. For longer shelf life (especially after opening), you can refrigerate or freeze them.
5. How long do they last?
All bags are labeled with a “best by” date. Most treats stay fresh for 6 to 9 months unopened. Once opened, we recommend consuming within 30–45 days for best quality.
6. Do you deliver locally?
Yes! We offer Uber Direct delivery across the Bay Area — including San Francisco, Oakland, Berkeley, and surrounding neighborhoods. Local pickup is also available at select times.
7. Do you ship nationwide?
Not just yet. We’re focused on staying small and fresh while we grow locally. If you're outside the Bay Area, follow us on IG or sign up for email updates — shipping is coming soon.
8. Are these treats safe for puppies or senior dogs?
Most of our treats are great for dogs of all ages — just be mindful of size and chewing habits. For puppies and seniors, we recommend smelts, sweet potato chips, or carrot slices under supervision.
9. What are the best treats for joint health or sensitive dogs?
Try our chicken feet or duck feet — they’re naturally rich in glucosamine and chondroitin for joint support. For sensitive stomachs, our single-ingredient fish or veggie treats are a great hypoallergenic option.
10. Do you accept returns or exchanges?
Because our products are perishable, we don’t accept returns. But if something isn’t right with your order, let us know — we’ll always do our best to make it right.
